.tar.Z?
I'm really not sure WHERE to post this, so I posted it here as it is the forum I frequent the most.
Is there a program that will extract the .tar.Z type of files on a Windows system? I have downloaded some files to use with some PHP (there is the relevance!) scripts and have no idea how to make the files usable on a Windows 2000 system.
Thanks!John

WinRAR does not recognize it with the .Z extension. Evidently (from what I have read) .tar is simply a collection of files (not compressed) and the .Z says that the .tar collection has been compressed.
I have tried WinRAR and Compress 2000 to no avail.John

send it to aaron.brazell@comcast.net. I'm in the middle of a DNS change and not getting most of my emails.

Try 7-Zip if you ever need to do this in the future. I think you can find it at SourceForge.net
