Directory Site

I am in the process of creating a directory site. It has two aims:

1. provide general info on the topic.
2. provide links to sites about the topic.

Let's say the topic is 'widgets'. The directory pages will be divided into pages for sites selling blue widgets, red widgets, etc, etc, that is, a separate cat for each colour.

Now some sites sell both blue and red widgets and i would like to give them a listing on both the blue and red widget page.

I'm wondering whether I should deep link to the sites, my blue widget page links straight to their blue widget page and red widget page links straight to their red widget page, rather than linking to their index page twice on both pages.

Most directory sites do not do this I think.

Any comments appreciated.

I would link to the most relevant info on thier page. That would be what someone is looking for. But I have never done a directory site before.
