Content for a sports site *newbie alert*

I run a fan site for the Tennessee Titans. I'd love to find articles about the team from all the many sites I now link to such as The Sporting News, ESPN, as well as some local papers.

Obviously, to copy/paste these would be illegal. Is it illegal to set up a way so that it lists the article title and the link opens a window to the site containing the article in it?

If this can be done, and I've seen some content services that allow you to do it, can I create my own script to do this? If so, any tips to a newbie who does this in GoLive for the mac?

I've checked isyndicate and am looking into using them. My goal was to work with more than just a couple of sources.

I wanted to develop something that would scan the sources I told it to at various times and post the titles of the stories on my site (such as what isyndicate does) but it appears all the local papers do change their url to include the date so it appears it would have to be placed each day by hand.

Any options I'm overlooking?
