I was wondering if it was acceptable to post a public inquiry (about an open source project I want to start) on these forums. I am hoping to get some interest from other coders that might want to join my project, and want to know if I can post such a question here. If so, which forum should this question be directed to?
Yeah, the Trading Post would be most appropriate for askin' if others want to go into this venture with you. You can always pick a few brains in the various development forums on which route to choose on technical issues, but you can't advertise there.
My advice would be to put a link in your sig and the hang out in dev forum of your persuasion, helping out and weighing in on arcane topics as whether to quote something, or which function's faster. ;-)
