    allow_call_time_pass_reference setting

    I want to setup my site to use the phpCache script, but in order to use it I have to set allow_call_time_pass_reference to on, by default it is set to off. Are there any security risks or problems I should be aware of other than the fact that allow_call_time_pass_reference may be deprecated in a future version of php? Thanks.

    You may want to consider PEAR::Cache_Lite as an alternative which won't force you to have call time reference passing.

    There's a couple of tutorials on using it;
