Help Me

Hi i am reading the book for making a mysql and php database and i have run into one problem. The problem is at the installation part where it says

go to ms-dos and type in c:\mysql\bin> mysqld-nt -install

when i get to that point i hit enter and it says ... is not a valid win32 application. what should i do?

i am running windows xp if that helps

In windows XP you go to the "command" prompt. To do this, click Start -> Run and type "cmd".

What do you mean, "..."? Did you type "...", or did it say something else? Did you mean to say "mysql-nt"?

cd c:\mysql\bin
mysql-nt -install

Would be the proper way, AFAIK.
