    Hi,
I was wondering if anyone ever used sites like monster.com, techies.com, and other ones to find web design jobs? I don't mean full blown jobs involving relocation, etc. just small one time things. If you did, what one is your favorite? What was it like?

    Thanks,
    Justin Sampson

I put my resume on guru.com and got around 5 or 6 job offers from it, 3 in the first 2 days.

They all offered over 6 figures a year but they weren't what I was looking for and I turned them all down. I was however very suprised at the response I got.

etrade had a hilarious superbowl commercial.

It was just a monkey sitting there clapping its hands for about 30 seconds to some corny old music.

    At the end it said.

"We just wasted 2 million dollars"
"What are you doing with your money?"
    "E-Trade"

If you want contracts your better off looking at guru.com, elance.com or smarterwork.com.

Monster.com and Techies.com are more oriented towards the every day employee and employer.

That's right Monster is more for permanent 9-5 jobs. When I graduated I freelanced for about 3 months and finally find a job via Gisajob for a webmaster in my area, which then were few and far between!
