when submitting a site to a search engine or directory. Should i submit all my pages individually? I like the idea, but am too afraid of being accused of spamming. My site has at least 3 unique content areas. Should i submit only my home page? Help? Maybe someone knows a good internet resource with this info.

I only ever submit the main page of the site then let the search engine's spider find the rest of the site.
Usually it will all be found and indexed and it makes sure that they can't blacklist you or accuse you of spamming

Well it depends on the search engine. Altavista will only crawl 3 pages deep, while Google will index everything.

    check each engines guildlines..

Some clearly state you can only submit the index page and anymore you will be classed as spamming..

Others make it clear you can submit as many as you want to..... Just check each one carefully..
