Read New SitePoint Book?
Just curious if anyone has read the new SitePoint book. I'm considering making the purchase and would like a little feedback for any of you who has already made the purchase.

Well, if you are referring to the "Build you own database driven website" book, I highly recommend it. Here is my situation.
I work for a graphic design company, and do all there system maintanence and web work. I have never taken a single programming course. I've grown up on computers so HTML was a snap, and I am know enough javascript to use and tinker with scripts. Before reading the book, I had used some "plug and play" cgi scripts before, but that is all.
Thanks to the book I now ruitinely use PHP for small little tasks, and am almost done with my first database driven content management system for a website (a portfolio). I used only this book and the PHP function information and comments on PHP.net. The book was immensly helpful, and last night I purchased the revised addition as well as the new CSS book.

I for one read the first 4 chapters of "HTML Utopia....", and while I didn't really learn a whole lot of new stuff, there were some principles reinforced that did help. Of course, that's only after reading the first 4 chapters. Plus, the reference section looks to be pretty exhaustive. I ordered mine yesterday!
