AOL's browser is internet explorer so I can't see how you can say it's crap.

One thing is that AOL compresses it's graphics and there is a way to turn it off.

In AOL go to My AOL and choose Preferences. Then go to WWW and then the Web Graphics tab and untick "Use compressed graphics".

after that everything should look fine.

Doing what keith said will make it look good in your own aol browser.

But to make it look good in all your visitors is harder.

I've found that high quality jpegs (if you're making this in photoshop) get compressed the worst.

Try converting them to a gif, and them optimizing them, and that way AOL shouldn't be able to compress them anymore.

If you don't have a gif optimizer you can find one shareware/freeware online.

The easiest way to make your graphics look better in ART form is to not use PhotoShop.

Photoshop's compression causes graphics to come out weird in AOL. To fix this simply open the graphic in another application such as Paint Shop Pro and resave.

I made the graphic in photoshop, opened it in fireworxs, saved it as a gif, and it still looks bad...
