    Getting flexible . . . sort of

    I've been working at trying to build more flexibility into my site and it's getting better. [This page is no longer available]

    Only two problems:

    1. The only way I could get the two header divs to work right (not break or overlap) was to put them in a table. Forgive me . . . it was an act of desperation. Is there any was to fix this with CSS?
    2. If the screen size is reduced, the main content <div> eventually breaks. Bet it would work to put the index and main content divs in a table too. Just kidding!!

    This version is more flexible but it doesn't work in NN4. While the absolute positioned one works in most browsers, it has the disadvantages of a horizontal scrollbar on resize. Neither one does everything that a table can do. Maybe I just don't have the skills yet? Or maybe it's inherent in CSS? Or maybe I need to rethink how to design a page? Comments??

    1. Use this code:
    Code:
    #hpad1, #hpad2 {
      width: 45%;
      float: left;
      padding: 2.5%;
    }
