    Exported images blank :(

I'm trying to export the images from a .fla file, but they come out blank
    i.e. white.

I'm not familiar with Flash. The file was compiled by someone else. I just
want to get the images out as (animated) gifs, or jpegs.
It seems simple enough; open as a Library, select the image, and export.

    But it ain't.

I have the latest version of Flash.

Could my well-hacked version of Windoze be to blame?

    Any clues?

Did you put the symbol onto the stage? I don't think you can export to image directly from the Library...

Errr.... wha? I don't know what you're talking about,
but it suggests I'm not doing it right. I'll look into it.

    Thank you

Did it work out? All I meant is that if you don't drag the symbol from the library onto the stage before exporting then nothing will get exported in an image - the "export image" function only cares about what's on the stage.

Yes, you were right. Thank you. I should have asked here earlier. Agggh! the amount of time I wasted trying to do that simple thing.

The buttons are animated; do I have to do something extra to export them as animated gifs?

The export as animated gif doesn't seem to work.
