Hello, I just finished my business plan generator and am wondering what people think.

It is on my new site which is not released yet, but will soon be.

    Check out the generator: http://tools.r68.net/business_plan_generator/

    Thank you for any comments

In my personal opinion this isn't even worthy of having the word plan in it.

My partners and I just got finished with our business plan and it was 46 pages long. Your 5 paragraph summation at the end of the generator would get anyone laughed out of the room if they showed that to a potential investor.

You might want to re-think it and set it up as a checklist to get a site online for the first time instead of a Business Plan. The end product is no where near what a Business Plan should look like.

    Thank you for the reply.

If possible, could you show me some examples of what a finished business plan should look like.

I would like to make this a tool that internet users will find useful.

About the 5 paragraph summation. I didn't really design this tool for people to bring in front of investors. It is designed to keep users in a sence "on track".

Before when I designed websites I would never even use a business plan, but now that I have wrote some things out I am able to keep on track of my work and have been able to get things done in a timely manner.

Yes I do agree that my business generator needs more work; allot of work, but I am just trying to get some user ideas before it's official reslease.

    Thank you for any comments,

    Stephen Williams

I have to agree with Wayne on this one! On the other hand the idea to bring this to the web is original and nice! Think it some more over and extent the concept of your generator.

    Good luck!

If you want to know what should be included in a Business Plan, go to Hotbot.com and search for Business Plan. Several good articles will be listed at the top. Another place you can get information is your local chamber of commerce, library or bank. They can all help out and give you guidelines. A basic business plan will always include:

    • Executive Summary.
    • Business Description
    • Target Market
    • Products and Services.
    • Market Research.
    • Company Background.
    • Costs and Expenditures for at least 3 years.
    • Current Sales and Profits.
    • Estimated Sales and Profits for at least 3 years.

I would forward you a detailed copy of mine but the minimum investment is $5000.00.

Ye, i need a plan too, but your thing in my opinion is to basic, although i think it has potential, I think you need to give people a lot more options, and spamming doesnt get you shut down if you have your own server.

Who ever told you that? That is incorrect.

Wow! I am presently working on my own business plan and it's taken me over 2 weeks to get through the first few pages. I think you have a FABULOUS idea there, in itself, which needs to be applauded.
Best wishes on final production, Wayne's suggestion inclusive.

You need to run spell check on your code. There are many spelling errors in it.

    eg:
    research is spelled resaearch
I wish I could of started out with my own server (paraphrased)

should be: I wish I could have started out with my own server

I would recommend leaving your personal comments out of the "generator" as it comes across as childlike.

It's really a pretty good idea, especially when you clarified that this is more for people to help keep themselves on track.

    Good luck sir
