database driven PHP site template program

Does such a thing exist? I want to be able to enter a template into the database, and then be able to construct pages using that template simply by submitting the content to the database.

Is there a simple program that would let me do this?

it'd be easily to not put the template into the DB.

For instance on my site, http://www.online-literature.com

each book gets its own page, with its own colors etc.

There are basially 4 files that serve all the info for each book, and each one accesses the database and pulls info like background color, text color, things like that.

So what I'm trying to say is, you don't store the template in the DB. You store the template like a webpage and have it access the DB to fill in the blanks.
