    Long date format...

Thank you for your book purchase from SitePoint.com

Your order number **** shipped on 06/02/03 from our warehouse in Maumee,
    Ohio, USA
Hmmm to me that reads that it was sent on the 6th of February!!??

Since SP has such a wide audience, and AFAIK the US is the only place that uses that bizarre format, would a long date not be a bit better?

(looking forward to the book btw )

I do believe we are the only country that uses the "bizarre" format and I do like the idea of a long format. Maybe something like June 3, 2003??

Bizarre? It's perfectly logical. 6/2/03 is read as the date would be -- June, 2, 2003.

Nonetheless, I agree. It could help those crazy Brits and Australians.

Ah yes, but the date is actually the 3rd of June 2003 not June 3rd!

That email is sent by our fulfillment company, which is located in the United States. We are able to modify the template of the email, but the date is inserted by ifulfill. To the best of my knowledge, we can't edit that.

Sorry Hopefully it should be easy enough to figure it out, if you ordered it recently.
