    Regarding the invalidemail div:

    move <div id="invalidemail"></div> up one line in HTML so it is within the <form> element.

    Then make the following change to your css:

    lp.css (line 263)
    Code:
    #invalidemail{
        background:url("invalidemail2.gif") no-repeat scroll 50%;
        width:140px;
        height:40px;
        position:absolute;
        top:35px;
        left:35px;    /* an estimate.  changed from 94px */
        bottom:0;
        z-index:0;
    }
    That should work. Then your form should be entirely self-contained and can be positioned anywhere easily.

    Yes, this definitely helped.

    Nevermind the shrinking text size.

    I have the elements positioned, centered on top of each other at 500px. It looks nice when it's all shrunken down; however, one thing that I see that I don't feel so great about is since the width of the edge cells shrinks by 40 pixels at viewport width of 700 pixels, it causes the email box and h3 nav links to bounce around in all sorts of ways. I'd like them to be more stationery instead of bouncing around as you'll notice.

    Here's what I added, and it seems to be solved.

    Code:
    @media screen and (max-width:780px){
    	h3{margin:0 auto; text-align:center; padding:10px 0;}
    	#emailbox{float:none; margin:0 auto;}
    }
    I may have some other things I want to accomplish, like auto-shrinking and expanding images, but I should start a new thread for the specific issues.

    Thanks for your help!

    Thanks for the fresh link to the page.

    There are several ways of containing and moving #emailboxcontainer and #navlinkscontainer. All use media queries. I began setting up several demo examples last night when my young cat hopped on the desk and stepped on the "delete everything" key (I didn't even know there was such a key!) and I lost everything.

    Your solution seems to work nicely, though, so there is probably no need to build the demos. If I do, I'll post them in this thread FYI. Likewise, I still haven't given up on the "call to action" button, either. If anything works out, I'll add it here, too.

    You're making nice progress. Will look for you in the new threads.

    PS: In what part of Alanta do you live? I lived near Stone Mountain years ago.

    I'm here in the city... Midtown, to be precise, nearby Little 5 Points. This is for the time being. I hope to be moved out here shortly.

    I visit NJ from time to time, as some relatives live in Mahwah, nearby the NY state line.
