    good/cheap royalty free images

I really like the photos at http://pro.corbis.com/ and http://gettyimages.com/ but for $50 each are way too expensive for most of my projects.

http://www.photos.com/ is quite good and the price is good also - $100 per month and you can get as many images as you need. But most of the people in the pictures are Asians. I am in Europe and it would look kinda strange with pictures of Asian people.
Any other sites similar to photos.com?

I think http://www.photospin.com has a similar subscription type set up. The photos there feature people from different cultures.

I bought "The Big Box of Art", it has clipart, vector images, black/white photos, color photos, and more.. .and I bougt it for $50 canadian... It has 350,000 images... and a lot of them are very nice... I thought I would never use the clipart, but quickly found myself using all types of images on the cds... and another plus is a search/thumbnail program that comes with it.

Just a note about the previous post... its from Hemera (www.hemera.com)

They have a wide range of royalty free images/services... something to consider, even though I haven't heard too much about them myself.

www.istockphoto.com has been mentioned many times and is my first choice for projects. At 50 cents each, it's a great source.

Any more? photospin seems quite good and its cheaper from photos.com, but photos.com has a bit better photos and better interface.
Istockphoto has some good images, but it has a lot of amature ones.
Any more subscription based services like photos.com and photospin?

And then this small one (simply use google translation if not native language)

I am not sure of the exact legalities... but I am *pretty sure* you would have to contact the author (poster) of the image for rights of use... and I am sure most of the time this wouldn't be a problem...

Not completely sure about the german one.. didn't really ever use it..
