Best way to send/receive swf files

Someone has been unsuccessful in sending swf files from his MAC to my PC - when I download and open them on my desktop I get a blank screen.

What am I or he missing?

    Thank you,
    Herman

Odd. I know that on occasion (and I don't know what causes it) files emailed from Macs to PCs get turned into an odd binary format. We've had that problem with MS Outlook here. To be honest, the safest way is to post the files on the web somewhere with a link to them and download them that way. That's what I do if I need to send a "dangerous" file extension like a .mdb or .exe that gets filtered out by a lot of mail programs.

Thanks - problem is this person has no access to web hosting..yet.

Actually he's sending the files to be hosted by me:-)

If I download macromedia flash - would this do the trick?
