How do I remove the following graphic?

I want to remove the graphic of the guy and expand the remaining light blue background.

I think that's a toughey unless you can somehow render the background pattern on it own, from scratch.

Otherwise if you have Photoshop, you could select the graphic of the guy, delete it and try using the rubber stamp tool to re-create the pattern.

If you wanted a cleaner result, i'd go for the first option...

It would be easier to make something similar from scratch instead of taking someone else's image without their consent (copyright violation).

Just make a line gradiant in your desired color, blur it a little and use a filter like distort/squiggle/waves/etc to make it a little wavy, then add light scan lines to it.
