    "Trace Image" and File Size

This is interesting. I imported a JPEG into a blank Flash 5 movie by copying/pasting from Paint and then used "Trace Image" to convert it into a vector graphic. After exporting the movie, the resulting .swf file was around 60KB.

That seems kinda large for a vector graphic. How come it isn't as small file size-wise than I expected?

You may have used poor settings and have not optimized the Vector art.

Depending on the graphic, you should change the 4 adjustable values when you trace a bitmap. Then afterwards, you should go through Shape Optimization, Line Smoothing, etc, in order to reduce file size.

Depending on the images and the quality of the Vector art you want, Vector is indeed supposed to be very low in file size. But Tracing images well is a skill unto itself.
