Recently changed hosts - now i'm dissapeared from Google search

I used blogger to host my site, i also got a domain which i used on that site. Now though i have decided to go alone myself, build a site and host it on a server myself. I have now done all this, but my domain is no longer in the search rankings that it was before. I have resubmmited the site to google and bing but do i need to do anything else? i hope this isn't too confusing to understand.

It will take some time for Google and other search engines to catch your URL and index it. Don't worry it will be alright soon.

Did your domain or page URLS change at all? If not, maybe your site was down for a few hours or days and that cause Google to de-index you for a time.

If your domain did not change then it maters zero who is the host. But I imagine it was yoursite.blogspot.com. In which case yes that would affect you for a few months. Plus google favors its .blogspot addresses heavily post panda I have found.
