How to stream movies from website?

Sometimes, I use my digital camera to record 30 sec. movies . I would like to share them with my family out of town but instead of having them download the movies I would like to be able to stream them from my site. How do I do this? Is it more trouble than it's worth? I searched the web but I didn't find any good instructions on how to do this.

Also, I'd prefer to stream them with Windows Media Player.

Hm.. try just converting it to an *.avi file and directory embedding it into your page.

what's the file format?

If it's wma or avi it may be as simple as streaming an mp3.

I've never tried it, but it may work the same way. You just create a txt file that says the url of the file and have a hard return at the end. Then name the txt file "myvideo.m3u."

Make the link point to that txt file.

It works for MP3. hehe, let me know if it works for video. I've been meaning to try it.
