    Dumb question regarding PHP editors

    Ever shared scripts online and find that when you open them in your editor theres 3 extra new lines between every line of code so the script is 5 times longer than it should be and is a pain in the **** to edit?

    Anyone know how to do a quick cleanup to resolve this situation?

    I'm using HTML-Kit

    Thanks!

    What program were you using before? Because I never had this type of problem before.

    I don't know - the scripts were worked on by remote developers.

    that's usually because the files were not always worked on with the same linebreak format. make sure you always use one format.

    (i usually use UNIX linebreaks)

    I've encountered the same problems with HTML-Kit, it only seems to occur with remote files though.

    Just do a find/replace on "\n\n" -> ""
