I dont have MySQL
which oe do you recommend? UBB or VB

without MySQL you wont be using vb.

I suggest getting MySQL and getting vb. VB is better performance wise, and it is a thousand times easier to install.

I agree with aspen. I have heard so much great stuff about VB (and love it, because that's what i'm using as we speak!)

I know that when I get my new forums, I will get mySQL and get VB, because it is alot faster than ubb, and I don't want to weigh down my server.

You could also try UltraBoard, but I wouldn't choose this over vB or UBB. UltraBoard is a nice alternative to the big two, and I am pretty sure it doesn't require MySQL either.

what is the url for UltraBoard?
What about Ikonboard? I just tried it and it looks and works just like UBB. I cant see any difference. Is any one using it?
