/me doesn't. Creates too much whitespace on the bottom half of the forum list. Just personal opinion I suppose.

Any way we could have the option of turning it on & off like the menu bar on sitepoint? I can see me opening that up every couple days, but I'd rather not have it there all the time.

    I don't think I like it a lot either...

But I don't know if I want them to take it away either... Because I suppose it'll grow on me, and eventually I will find it useful...

i seriously do't like the related articles section,... mainly becuase of the blank space created below ti as dave pointed out !

id say why not just put it horizontally on top or bottom of the page in another box !

Hmmm, I almost never go to the forum home page. Instead, I go directly to my control panel and the forums to which I have subscribed so I didn't even notice this new feature. I like the idea of listing the articles but I must say, I don't care much for the way it looks either.

I don't like it because it pinches my main forum area. I only have a 15 inch lcd set at 1024x768. I want my pixels back!

New feature prevents pages from loading!!!

I almost started a new thread for this as it is really important. As I continued catching up at SP this morning, I noticed that the article list has also appeared on some of the individual forum pages. Problem is that it is preventing some of those pages from loading AT ALL!! The article list is there but the forum area is BLANK! A refresh SOMETIMES brings up the main content but not always. I don't have the time or energy to sit here and refresh and refresh in hopes that the content will appear. Back to the drawing board fellas.

*edit* Thought I'd attach a screen shot so you can see exactly what I'm dealing with. Sometimes even the main forum list is blank too.

You guys aren't allowed to hack vB are ya? Too bad really, because you could have made it a user-option.

This isn't quite as important, but I almost started one too. One the forum page, if you have your browser at 800x600 (or open your favorites with a maximized page in 1024x768, which is how I found it), the article boxes get tucked under the forum pages. Might be related to what earther is reporting because it doesn't happen on the main page.

Attaching a screenshot to show what I'm talking about. Browser is IE6.0 on Win2K

I like the idea. Just need to work out the issues described above. I particularly like that each forum displays articles pertinent to the forum displayed. Very cool!

Of course they are, it just normally stops any support you'd get from Jelsoft, though SPF and Jelsoft are tied rather closely together.

Personally I like it, I never go there but it's a very good thing for new users especially to know we have this wealth of resources. I'm a bit disappointed Harry's article is there without the balancing .NET one, but ah well

This was brough up earlier today and Tom said he'd look into it

When I first saw it this morning I didn't like it either, but now I think its a great idea, and really useful - would be nice to be able to turn it on and off though, as it takes up alot of space and I need all the space I can get when I'm on my laptop.

    Well done Tom

I'm actually not sure they are since it's in Beta... I think I can remember Wayne mentioning that a while back*.

    *Could be utterly wrong however

Is that Menu Bar or Tool Bar? Don't mean to sound sarcastic or picky but there is a difference and if it is menu bar, where do you turn this on and off?

I think on/off is a great idea too as long as it's in an obvious place and not something you have to dig for, or new users may overlook the option.

If you view one of the articles pages on SP you'll see tabs saying 'Hide Nav' along the edge of the left hand navagation bar - I think this is what he means.

Attachement isn't posted yet but thought I'd add that my browser is 800 x 600 /IE 6/ Win ME and the the article box is NOT tucked under the forum pages. Or maybe it is on some pages (and I haven't noticed) but not on others.

Heh, yeah, I know a lot about vb, (i started a forum running vb now), but yeah, with the beta you can't hack it because then the problems might be in your code, and not the vb code.

Whucha gonna do wit all dat white space?
    (IE 5.5 1024x768) - Image attached.

I like the idea. As others have said horizontal at top or bottom, turn it on - turn it off, or do one of those kewl sliders.
