Is it just me, or does it seem to anyone else that the Chinese governement has become more restrictive of individual freedoms since the U.S. granted them Permanent Trade Status? And here I thought that the new status would just magically make the government more trusting of its people and more willing to grant them broader freedoms, stop human rights abuses, etc.
One of my top pet peeve with the U.S. government - Economic policy guides foreign and domestic policy.
Hope all of you U.S. citizens 18 and over voted today!
