Dates in php

How would you find out the date for Monday then Friday from any day of the week? Like today, if I wanted a person to come to my page and it shows Monday then the date for Monday and then Friday and the date for Friday, how would I do that?

Example:

Hello,
Today is: Wednesday March 21, 2003

The beginning of the week was: Monday March 19,2003

The end of the week is: Friday March 23, 2003
