Happy Halloween everyone. We arn't exactly big on celebrating it in the UK so I'm interested to know what everyone else gets up too on halloween. I have no plans to do anything special myself but thats nothing really new. I just relised today I never ever went "trick or treating".

Well, i'm in Ireland and am in work right now.

Down in the canteen they are carving out faces in the pumpkins right now. Approx 300 people work here and about 50 of them are all dressed up in costumes

There is a big halloween ball on for us in one of the pubs here tonite. Some free drink, free food and generally a big piss up for us.

Wohoo, roll on 7pm here in Ireland.

Well soon I'm off to a firework display and later I'm going to a piss-up at my uncle's house It'll be a fun night all round... We get this week off school for half-term.... so I can stay up as late as I want



You know what the worst part of it is? I can already feel Christmas coming! OK so Christmas is cool, but when you have nine people in your family to buy presents for... sheesh! Another 100 ukp down the drain!

I made blueberry muffins, madeira cake (my speciality) and popcorn, and I have been answering my door for the past 3 hours and dishing them out!

Yah, in Northern Ireland we have fireworks at Halloween. We don't celebrate November 5th. That's also why our school half-term holidays are this week and not last week... because it means that the school holiday is in line with the Halloween holiday, which therefore means less days off for us

Anyway I got back from the display a while ago... it was really good, except it was too cold (always is at the time of year). I'm not going to bother going to my uncle's party now, I've just remembered I have to get up early in the morning

Here in the states, the psycho's have ruined it so you can't hand out anything but pre-packaged goods. Even then you have to personally inspect everything or take it to the local hospital for free x-rays to make sure it hasn't been contaminated with something.

Pretty sad when you think about it.

I am leaving work soon to go pick up my kids and take them to some pre-approved haunting spots. This will allow me to get me err them a year's supply of candy. Gotta remember to throw out the leftovers from last Halloween and Easter when I get home.

p.s. My Halloween celebration was on Sunday when we had a very nice "Day of the Dead".

I celebrated Saturday night at a costume party. If tonight wasn't a work night, I'd go out to clubs. I really wish they'd make Halloween a weekend celebrated holiday, or give us the day after off from work/school.

We were gonna go TP one of my friends houses...but I couldn't get everyone together. Too bad...and considering we had just done it about a week and a half ago - I think they'd figure out it was us.

According to one of my teachers, I live rather close to the halloween capitol of america (or the world...or something like that) - anoka, where every year dogs go missing and kids go missing and all that stuff. So, I'm thinking that I'll sit inside and surf SP with my dog by my side and my parents watching Buffy The Vampire Slayer. Good Times ... Good Times (I live too far away from my friends houses to go out partying/trick-or-treating with them).

Did anyone watch The Best of Halloween SNL? It was hilarious - they had Dana Carvey clips from his recent show and it was funny. Anyways...I'm gonna go watch TV - Happy Halloween!

I didn't have a good Halloween, to say the least.

It seems my teachers enjoy piling homework on us, especially on Halloween and holidays. I had too much homework to go out, and when I was trying to yesterday, my old costume was too small when I tried it on. So, I ended up not going anywhere.

What kind of math are you in (and what grade)?

For me, I just went to my friends house and we scared the litte kids as they rang the door. We hid on his roof, and hid on the porch and then set up a two way radio so we could talk to them. It was pretty cool.
