Email notifications

Mine all of a sudden stopped working without any changes on my part. Any idea why?

Just in case anyone else has the same problem, I thought I'd post the reason. I was close to my disk space limit so the emails were put in a que. After I raised my limit (I'm the host... DOH!) I started getting them again. If you have the same problem, you'll need to delete unneeded stuff on your server or get your disk space limit raised through your host.

Mine also stopped working all of a sudden, but only sometimes.

I'm subscribed to a full section of the forums (trading post) and get the regular updates from that section without any problems.

But for all the individual threads i'm subscribed to, I only sometimes get email notifications. I know you have to check back for reminders to keep working, and I do that, and still i only sometimes get them.

Any suggestions as to why this is happening???

SPF? They have 100 gigabytes of drive space.. Don't think they are getting close. Probably using way less than half of that for day to day operations.

Well, I've used up 80% of my 250mb available on my server, but all of my other emails come through no problem so why would sitepoints' emails not come through?

I think it might have more to do with the "There may be other replies also, but you will not receive any more notifications until you visit the board again." clause in the notification emails. Cos i think i always get the first notifiication after posting, but after that i dont. even when i click on the link to check the replies.

No, the disk space mention was his disk space on his server, not SitePoint's. That's the reason why mine wasn't going through. I was too close to the limit so the mail server just held on to it. I raised my disk space (because I'm the host) and then the mail started coming through.
