    activex and php (uploading)

has anyone ever used an activex app within thier php document? i am interested in including a little app that lets users "drag and drop" files from their system and then upload. any suggestions as to some good ways to upload with php?

does the activex app have any documentation on how it uploads them? if it does, find out if it just uploads using standard POST_FILES format, if it does, you should be able to access it using $_FILES.

any idea, as well, if there are "drag and drop" capabilities like this for the Mac? i'm not interested in java applets, but something quick and easy like Active x (with regards to download time)
