PHP script to transfer files between servers

I'm basically looking for a php script that could run either in the crontab (server side) or by just by opening it on the web which can transfer files between servers (fxp). But in addition to just streaming individual files between servers (you can do that just in shell manually) it would have to check for new files on server #1 and then say if they are not no server #2 then automatically stream.

Anyone have anything in mind?

Get a file listing and place all the files in a specific dir into an array. Then loop through them and check if the exist. If they dont use php_ftp functions and place the file on the server.

Might get kind of complicated if you need to synch both servers up with diff file systems on each machine.
