How does one acheive the 'intro' text effect found here --> http://www.finalscratch.com/.

The text is vector art. The motion blurs are graphics. Alpha fade in a graphic "blur" from left to center and at the moment it stops, be alpha fading in the text on another layer.

Pause, and then reverse the process to fade it out.
