    Exporting to clipboard

    Hi,

I am developing a web interface to an MIS system written in PHP. As part of this, I produce pages which contain tables of data. Some of my users have asked for a "Copy to Clipboard" button on the page to allow them to easily take the pretty data and put it into Excel etc.

The size of the page produced isn't an issue since it's all used internally, so I can easily duplicate the information in an array in JS, but how to I impliment a "copy to clipboard" bunction? (If indeed I can!)

    Thanks,

    Paul

If the page is formatted correctly can't your users just use Ctrl-A (Select All) Ctrl-C (Copy), also available on the Edit menu ?

No. They don't want all the page (lots of fancy stuff to make it look nice) just the data. Now they MIGHT be able to select just the table, but they are users after all!!! I'd like a botton if I can have one....
