    A DOM question

    I have a page that has an iframe in it. What I am trying to do, is when a button in the iframe page is clicked, I want to change something on the page that contains the iframe.

    i tried this:

    Code:

    function close() {
     if (ns4) {
       document.layers['animation_screen'].visibility = 'hide';
     }
     else if (ie4) {
       document.all['animation_screen'].visibility = 'hidden';
     }
     else if (ie5 || ns6) {
       document.getElementById('animation_screen').visibility = 'hidden';
     }
    };
    but nothing happens. any ideas?

    Something like:

    parent.close();

    Is that what you're looking for?
