    loadVariables() ?

    Im using the loadVariables() functions to send variables to an ASP page but my question is -- How does it know what variables to send????? where are these variables defined? I only want to send certain vars?

    the quote below is from MM, notice toward the bottom it talks about variables, but it never says what variables it sends?

    You are using MX right? I think its a lot more clear when using the LoadVars() object, could you confirm your use of MX or 5?

    good day freddy...

    I usually use MX, however we will have to do this the Flash 5 way, because...well...needs to for a client using F5

    Good day to you sir,

    Well I have not used loadVariables very much, but I did do this test.

    The PHP
    PHP Code:
    <?php
    foreach($_POST as $key => $val) {

    $data .= "$key = $val\n";
    }
    $fp fopen("log""w");
    fputs($fp$data);
    fclose($fp);
    ?>
    And the actionscript
    Code:
    foo = "bar";
    doo = new Array("choo", "coo", "doo");
    loadVariables("http://freddy/loadVars.php", this, "POST");
    And everthing that was in the same location as the loadVariables call meaning the main timeline frame 1 was sent to the php script.

    If I move the loadVariables code into an mc only variables belonging to that clip and declared before the loadVariables were sent.
