Hi,
I was just wondering how I go about getting advertisers for my website? I don't mean from cj.com, etc. I mean getting them without the third party.
I have no clue about this so any help is appresiated!
Thanks,
Justin Sampson

First, make a detail advertising info. page with the following info.:
Price
Visitor Profile
Contact Info.
Pageview and Visitor No. per month
Payment methods
What types of advertising is available?
Then, in your homepage to announce that and must have a prominent link to that advertising page.
Then, you need to promote your advertsing plans actively just like it is one of your biz lines.
Addto! e-commerce and Internet Marketing Directory
Collects and refers hundreds of ecommerce, internet marketing, and website development solutions and advice to small business owners.
You can access various domain registration info. too

Good tips, Addto.
Generally, I don't recommend going to advertisers, that's just not professional. As Addto said, setup your own advertising system and go with it.
How to do that? Let me use an example that we use on my site:
Have a main advertising page with information about your site, why the potential advertisers should advertise on it, options available, and a form or e-mail address to get more info. Then, people who are interested can request more info (rates, availability, etc.). Your next step is to obviously create those pages and have the URLs ready to supply to interested people.
Good luck!
