    Talking putting a link to e-mail

    i have a little problem i am trying to put a link to an e-mail address in my site so i used dynamic text and used a url link, but when it is up on the web it does not work am i doing it wrong or what how should i do it? when i typed it in i just went down to the bottom of the properties bar and in the url spot i put my address roreyf@hotmail.com, but when i put the movie on the web it does not work

    Please help thanks

    Use a hidden button, then use the GoTo URL command and type: mailto:roreyf@hotmail.com

    Ot do it the same way you did before just tack on the mailto: before the address as shimmy showed. If its the only thing that piece of text will do, then there is no need for a hidden button in this case.

    i tried both methods of fixing it and both failed what am i doing wrong, all i want is for the e-mail link to open up internet explorer or what ever mail system is used and and allow someone to e-mail me, someone please help.

    Well its kinda hard to tell since we can't really see how you have attempted to implement the above methods. They should work, so maybe you could post an .fla. Thanks

    im sorry guys ya'll were right i was stuppid and published the files to the wrong folder and was uploading the wrong file the whole time, so what you told me was correct thanks alot sorry about my stupidity
