I like the look of their service, but they only deal with US customers - are there any companies that offer services to UK customers.

Try http://www.revecom.com , they have both credit card processing and online checks.

http://www.paypal.com may be an option in the near future. They say in the TOU that they will be serving International customers soon. But that isn't going to address your needs right now. Also, I think paypal has fewer fees and charges than propay does.
