Is there demand for a forum based on brainstorming and ideas?

I was thinking about starting to make a forum about brainstorming and ideas, somewhere where people can come and talk about site projects, get feedback from uers and brainstorm new sites. Is this something that could do well, or has this been done before?

I have had a look on Google for similar sites but can't really see anything of this nature.

Probably because while the idea in itself is good, people fear that if they speak about their idea in public someone else will steal it.

It's quite a great idea but indeed, it's risky. A lot of people won't talk about their ideas fearing that someone will steal their ideas. It's understandable, I won't share my idea if I could do it myself too.
