    Suggestions to improve flat website design

    Hi
    I am a newbie in we designing and tryin to give a flat look to my profile website...Need your suggestions for the "portfolio" section as I am unable to bring abt a flat look to the images (taken thru printscreen for the websites Ive designed)

    What does "flat look" mean? Do you have an example of what you want through another graphics program for example.

    In your website use white boxes, and a white border for portfolio images, also the lightbox should have square white borders.

    I have changed to a black border since the background color doesnt blend well with white..pls check and suggest.

    I guess a flat design is using solid colors without any graphical elements using color gradients.

    I would say your design is flat since it uses solid colors only. I don't think it's very attractive though.

    One major problem that stands out is your page titles are too close to the top. You need a larger margin there.

    Thanks and do u have any suggestions for the color schemes and portfolio images?
