I was just wondering while I was coding PHP: Would learning to code go faster if English is your primary language?

Since most languages are basically English, it seems quite logic to me...

    What are your thoughts?

I am learning PHP so I couldn't tell you about that, but I remember when I was an undergraduate at University I used to site next to a Spanish girl in my C class and she was coding fine, but all her variable names were in Spanish!

I just learned English intensively (living in a English speaking country!) for about 1yr, but I feel PHP coding is fine.

PHP has common words too, so it is not really a problem to a non-English speaker.
Actually when coding, I never used my primary language as variable names!
