Anyone knows what's the age requirement for the casinos in Las Vegas ?

I think its 21...not positive though.
For some reason I was thinking 18. During college I used to go there for the Comdex computer convention every year.

Indian Casino's are 18, Casino's in Canada are 19.
Yep...it's 21. but if your smart - you can still play if your under that...
I had a friend when I was in Reno (nevada...close to las vegas) who was playing slot machines to try and win one of those cars...well...he won the car, but when they came over to ask for ID - well...he was 15...so he didn't get the car. Man would that suck - to win but not be able to get the car...
In my hotel room when I was in Las Vegas there was a phamplet that said that the age was 18 to be inside a casino and 21 to actually gamble...

i think they have a certain time when kids under 21 have to be off the street, i think its 10pm. they have cops patroling the street and checking id's - my folks went there recently and told me that hooror story![]()
If your caught, you could get arrested, lose all your winnings and if under 18 your parents could be fined.Originally posted by JRS385

They usually only do this when there is big concerts in town. There used to be a big Grateful Dead concert in Vegas every memorial day weekend and I made the mistake of going that weekend. They had police and hotel security checking ID's of anyone who looked under age before they could enter the casinos.Originally posted by temis

If there is an event that would attract a bunch of underage tourists, it is in their best interest to do this because they face stiff fines from the state if they allow underage gambling.
Of course, they always put the elevators (and restuarants) in the middle of the casino so you always get into fights with security.
Sigh.

Thats the idea. If you've ever watched one of those discovery on the inside casino shows you know what I mean. They purposely design them so you have to walk through the gambling (and not in the straight line either) to get to where you want to go and they try to make it hard to find your way out.
