In what manner is it to be used? If you are talking about using it as a logo or a button/icon graphic then there are various file sizes that can be defined for devices. If it is just for a display then you can use normal web settings and let the device sort out the viewing size. If you require more control or have a specific requirement or device in mind then please be more specific.
I am not in graphic design but I use Photoshop for retouch some photo as my hobby.
What I do know is for image from Camera that use for reprint I use 72 DPI.
like Stackr said you can use 72 DPI, but it may useless if your images is very small right.

It is not the DPI you need to concern yourself with. DPI is only useful for printing. What you need is the resolution of the image. Which is defined as [width]x[height] in pixels
