Question asp / rss / xml

I would like to figure out a way to use classic asp/vbscript to utilize public rss news feads.

Any help would be appreciated. even a shove in the right direction would be great.

    thx

I've never done anything with RSS, but the tutorial below explains XML parsing. I don't think it would vary too much from standard XML parsing:

EDIT: This link may help some too. It's about WAP applications, but may help you out, as Karloff tried to parse RSS feeds to his portal:

Yes, as vgarcia mentioned, I used ASPRSS code at the beginning - to fetch feeds for my desktop and mobile portal. Should also get you started quickly. However, I wasn't really impressed by the capabilities to narrow down the aggregation process - the feeds quickly became yet one more content clutter component that rarely had any relevance to my interests. So now I don't have any RSS feeds. I was looking into community aware models such as reputation management systems built on a trusted network of RSS publishers (most notably concepts implemented in NewsMonster, formerly Reptile). Oh well, just a little rant on the side; I hope ASPRSS is the shove in the right direction
