    quirkiness with IE

I didn't know if this should be posted under another section or not, but since it isn't about designing for a browser I thought I would just ask my question here.

I had to wipe and reload my PC about a week or two ago. Now I find that at least once every other day IE will start displaying different pages. Like Yahoo is my default homepage, but it looks like a cached copy of sitepoint will come up. Or if I try and go to google another site will come up ... usually with a few broken image links.

The only way I can get IE to work normally again is to reset. I've tried to "Fix Internet Explorer" through Microsofts add/remove programs option. I've also tried dumping all temporary internet files, cookies, and I even cleared my URL history ... but it will still do it every once and a while. It's nothing I can actually reproduce, it just randomly happens.

    Does anyone have any suggestions?

(besides using opera, NN, or mozilla, which I'm sure someone will say)

    Thanks in advance,
    Keegan

    Use Opera, NN or Mozilla.

Actually that sounds really weird. I've never heard of that before.

I cannot understand why people still use IE it's offically the worst browser on the market IMO lacking in features, functionality, security and standards.

Sorry I know this is no help for your problem
