Mine: 10/13GB in need of a bigger HDD!

However, when it gets full, I burnt into CD-R or CD-RW
but HDD still a better place to mess thing around.

The one I'm using at the moment has a measly amount.

But the computer my stepdad and I use for graphics and making the TV show, has about 80 gig plus. We shall be adding more soon.

The comp I'm using for the internet has about 8 gig on it.

Anything under 10 gig is far to small these days.

4/20 Go. It's a pretty new computer though, so there's no real content on it. I plan on getting a larger hard-drive when i saturate this one.

RusselG, i remember the computers at the university had 4.3 Go HD, and i managed to place much more useful things than i found on the 12 Go HD of my sister's boyfriend, which was used by his father for stocking porn pics & mpegs (boy these took something like 4 Go !)

I have an 8GB drive with 250MB free!

P.S. What does o mean in place of B for bytes? I've seen it on a few french sites, but what does it stand for though?

O stands for Octet, which is french for Bytes.
Often frenchies are confused with Mb meaning Mega-Bytes or Mega-Bits, so having a O is somehow useful in these cases.

Sorry for the use of Go instead of Gb, but i'm so used to this lovely O.

I have a 6GB HDD and use about 2GB of it.

I went three years on a 1.6GB doing all the same stuff I do now so i'm still militant about only keeping important stuff on it.

    Ok...

    1. Who has the largest HD?

    2. Who has the most space used up on their HD?

    3. And most of all...who actually has the smallest HD?

    1. 40 GB

    2. 6.72 GB

    3. I have a 634 MB Hard Drive that came with my 486, and a 40 MB drive that I took out of an Apple LC computer. I also have a 250MB Hard Drive that I took apart and hung the parts around my bedroom.

I got a 16Gb in 2 partitions which has about 12Gb used. I also have another 6Gb drive which I have MP3s, pictures etc on.

If you dont account for space lost because of partitioning, I have used about 17Gb

The first computer I had didn't have a hdd, but the first one I had with a hdd was 17Mb. (which I never got any where near filling, btw)

I have a 30 gig and a 6 gig. Half of the 6 gig is linux and is about 90% full. My 30 gig is about 25% full (or about 8 gigs used). I only need the OS and a few programs or about 2 gigs. The rest of the space is mosty... ahem... filled with MP3s.
