    Browsers

My only browser is Internet Explorer. I need to download Netscape, too, but am a little hesitant. Are there any known issues with having and using two different browsers on the same computer? Thanks!

the only problems you may have are:

    - you can't have different versions of IE installed on the same windows installation
    - if you use various Netscape/Mozilla/Phoenix browsers, make sure you set up a different profile for each one of them, and do not run them at the same time (although in most cases there shouldn't be any problems doing so)

i quite successfully run BrailleSurf, Lynx, MSN TV Viewer, IE5.5SP1, Netscape 4.79, Netscape 6.0, Netscape 7.0, Mozilla 1.3b, Phoenix 0.5, Opera 6.0 and Opera 7.0 (and have a laptop with IE6 installed to test for compatibility)

I have Opera 7.02, Phoenix 0.5 (a nightly build), and IE6 with no issues at all.

I've had some cookie issue problems, actually. Wherever I am a user of a forum, Mozilla carries that over for me, which isn't a problem. Sometimes, though, it is when I log out of one, I have to delete the cookies in Mozilla...

I used to have IE6, Opera 6.06, Opera 7.03, Netscape 6.2, Netscape 4.7, Mozilla 1.4a, K-Meleon 0.7, and Phoenix 0.5 installed on the same machine (WinXP Pro) before I formatted the harddrive a few days ago. They all got along.

Like redux mentioned, make sure Netscape and Mozilla don't share the same profile, since Netscape stores its profile in Mozilla's profile directory; you'll get many nasty problems if they use the same profile. Phoenix (now known as Firebird) uses a different profile directory by default, so it's not a problem.

I now have IE6, Opera 7.03, Firebird 0.5+, Mozilla 1.4a and K-Meleon 0.7 installed, and I can run them all at the same time.
