    Unhappy List of ADO drivers?

Hi all. Hope you can help with this. I'm getting this error from our server when trying to use the FileSystemObject.

    Server object error 'ASP 0177 : 800401f3'
    Server.CreateObject Failed
    /website/feedback.asp, line 28
Invalid ProgID. For additional information specific to this message please visit the Microsoft Online Support site located at: http://www.microsoft.com/contentredirect.asp.
I'm sure this is a driver registry problem. Trouble is, it's ONE of the ADO drivers. The MS suggestion is reinstall, but this simply isn't an option. This is a live webserver hosting websites for a number of big companies and we can't take it down on a hunch! Now, if we knew which driver was responsible for the FSO and what the registry should look like then we could fiddle with the registry of that one driver without touching anything else. Then if all else failed we'd have to reinstall IIS.

Anyone know of a resource where I can find the offending drivers? I've checked the documentation at microsoft.com and it's too wooly. Couldn't find what I was after. I suspect ADO isn't even under IIS, but I couldn't see it anywhere else either.....

    Thanks,

    G

Panic over. That would still be a useful resource, but I found the problem.

It would be helpful for others if you would post what the cause (and resolution) of your problem was...

PS - I'd hazard a guess at Norton Antivirus...

    Nope. Stupider than that ....

Didn't realise that the guy who wrote the scripts was actually using some third party mail component instead of CDONTs. I'd been having all kinds of trouble with an error at line 12 in the script which was using the FSO -- the latest error message, however, was now reading line 36 and I hadn't noticed. So I was right -- it was a driver registry problem. ASP was trying to call a piece of s/w that didn't exist when it went to set a new mail object!!

Needless to say, I beat myself around the head many times with a blunt instrument upon realising my error.
