For those looking for web design work:

I recommend you visit http://www.brainbench.com and getting certified by them in at least HTML 4.0 and Web Programming. Their certification tests take 20-40 minutes usually and are recognized by many major companies. The methods they use are effective at keeping people from "cheating" such as random questions from a group of test questions for each test, images instead of text to repeat during the keyboarding tests, etc.

Not to mention, I love hanging up the high-quality certification certificates they sent me At one point my typing speed ("Master Keyboard Typist") was faster than anybody else in Philadelphia.. I think somebody probably beat me by now.. was only 113 WPM error-adjusted and I know there are faster out there.. but the certificate looks really nice (thick paper, gold foil borders, etc.. mailed for free).

They also give you a "public online transcript" hosted on their servers so you can show potential employers your certifications.

Hmm, interesting. Whenever I think of brainbench i think of crap, because the peopel wont take the time to go out and pay to take a real test. that and also the fact that every time i try to complete one of their tests i get interuppted and therefore fail.
