I'm sure this is an ez one. (Ihope)

Was woking on a script and received the following message:

This file is to large to open. Would you like to use WordPad to read this file?

I click yes and get an alert - Failure in launching WordPad.

Did a search on my computer and couldn't find it. Now what? Can I download this somewhere or is there another program I could use? (something very simple without all the bells and whistles)

    Thanks, kc
(hope this was posted in the right catagory)

If you want to install it you'll need your original Windows CD/floppies. Go to Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs, go to the Windows Setup tab, click on Accessories, the Details button and then check Wordpad. Then point Windows to where your CD is.

OK, this isn't going to help you find Word Pad,but I've always wondered when that message pops up, why wouldn't I want to open it with Word Pad? Just to be stubborn?

EditPad is very nice for a free program. It's probably better to use with code than wordpad.

You might want to try Notetab Lite, which is also free.

Not to mention Textpad or HomeSite.
